So far this summer...
First of all, Ris and I are convinced that we live in the twilight zone. When most of the other students leave for the summer or graduate, the mix that is left is rare. Also, working in a place like Shadeland always keeps it interesting. There were 3 stabbings in 10 days in Lafayette. One guy got shot by the Neon Cactus while withdrawing money from the ATM. The shooter got away with 40 bucks. Sick. This place is turning into Gary or maybe "Valpa".
So Carissa and I went to go see Kati and Chris in San Diego. They live on Coronado Island, which is an awesome location. It's an island of about 30,000 people and only a bridge away from downtown San Diego. I want to move to San Diego after I graduate. Hopefully I can make it happen.
Kati and Chris have an awesome relationship. It's one that everyone hopes for so it's not hard to see why they got married. They are both in it for the long run. I think that some of the guys I have dated in the past are far too selfish and obviously not my type. I'm 22 and I still don't know what my type is. At least I have figured out what I don't want: only children are bad news, alcoholic split personalities are bad, jealousy is bad and guys without a steady job or without real life goals are bad. At least I know that much.
Carissa and I both graduate in December, which is getting to be a really scary realization. Becoming real people with real jobs? Also, my sister is due December 17th, so I'm finally going to be Aunt Meli. I've been bugging her to get pregnant since her wedding day, which was 3 years ago. So I am more than excited about it. I am a little upset that she is due in December and I will most likely be leaving sometime in January...if I get a job, that is. A lot of people who graduated in May don't have jobs yet...but I think I have a strong resume and even stronger ambition.
Well, that's all for now. We have become kind of boring people...working, laying out, reading like dorks...with alcohol to make it a little spicy. That's our summer....but there's more to come I'm sure. So stay tuned.

SPRING BREAK 2005!!!!!

Well it is over and we made it home in one piece. But I do not think the Triumph, San Juan, and the Virgin Islands will ever be the same. Where to begin.... the cruise was the best idea ever and I recommend it to everyone. We landed in Miami after 20 hours in the car and passed out on the beach. We started off the trip attempting to pour Kettle One into water bottles in the parking garage, and then super gluing them back together. Word to the wise, it gluing the tops back on does not work and just makes it more obvious. But we still smuggled it through customs. Our parents would be so proud! After waiting in custom for 2 hours will back packs that weigh just as much as we did we finally made it on the ship. The first days were kinda a blur, mostly spent drinking and laying out. PS we all look like Mexicans right now, oh and also make sure to ask why Meli and DY do not have tan lines!!!! The first place we docked was San Juan, it was gorgeous! Oh and we got to see the DEA and snipers in the middle of a drug bust. When I say we saw it, I really mean we walked into the middle of it and took pictures. Meli and I literally walked through the middle of the DEA, and they were standing there looking at us like we were nuts, then they started laughing at us bc yeah we are idiots. But I did get to see they guys in handcuffs. The rest of San Juan was a drunken blur, $2 drafts and $1 shots of tequila results in Dy and me skipping through the streets of San Juan and dancing in the middle of the street. (unfortuntely Meli caught the plague and had to go back to the boat). Well the good news was the boat didnt leave with out our drunk asses. The next two days we were in the Virgin Islands. Absoultely gorgeous! Meli and Dy went snorkeling in St Marten, and then lucky for us beers for 75 cents. The only sad thing was we didnt get to find Brad Pitts house. Maybe next time! The rest of the trip we were on the boat, and lets just say the dance club will never be the same. Every night was spent in the Piano Bar (maybe even better than Purdue's) and then working it in the dance club. Which we closed down every night! We managed to lose each other about every night, but usually met up about 6 hours later on the the 10th deck playing shuffleboard. This game is defintely not our strong suit. Especially when it is 60 mph winds and you can barely stand! Unfotuantely it all had to come to an end. We met some unbelievable people who helped to make this the best Spring Break ever. Thank you to the Louisville and Duke boys who are some of the coolest kids we have ever met. (Defintely the best dancers too, with the exception of us of course!)
We love and will miss you!!!!!

Random shit that happened:

Meli and Dy caught the plague, I remain well of course
Dy sliced her leg open in the shower, bc the boat moved when she was shaving her legs
"I am a grown ass man"
You really never know people till you spend 40 hours in the car and share a room for 7 days
How did Dy end up with all the crazys?
"I'm a little cracked out right now"
Carissa threw up on spring break--- 1st time in 4 years!
"dont listen to me, I've been drinking"
"Meli stop doing leaps in front of me when you have a skirt and no underwear on"
Dy and Meli where are your tan lines?
Carissa shut her foot in the window, DY got her elbow caught in the seat
The best door prop is the Holy Bible of course
24 free room service in the best
"Carissa your skin is the same color of your shoes"
"I look like a Mexican Leper"
Do the breech
"We have a runner"
Meli are your lips sunburned or did you catch something from the snorkel?
Dy manages to get yelled at by the infirmary not once, not twice, but 3 times!!! assholes
"I see you get a couple of drinks in you and you become a bitch" psycho boys
We are living proof you can live on 3 hours of sleep a night

This is all I can remember for now being that I am still out of it, Meli will add stuff!!!!

The war of the Cactus is on!

Where will it end up next...

First, it rang the doorbell, and that is weird bc cacti's dont have fingers, then it got put in front of Meli's door, next conviently placed so Dy ran into it when she walked into the room. So the next thing i know i walk into my bedroom, and it is in my bed with all the blankets over it. So I came up with the idea of putting it in the shower. Because i mean who wouldnt want to get naked with a spiky 4 foot tall cactus. Needless to say Meli didnt, so the cactus ended up in my car. It is now sitting in the middle of our kitchen. When I say middle i dont mean off to the side, I mean direct center of the kitchen, Oh it isnt in the way we just walk around it. Great conversation starter though. I dont even know how many people have come over, and asked why is there a huge cactus in the middle of your kitchen. Our answer: why not.

Where will it end up next?????

3 of a Kind

I just wanted to say thanks for everyone who came out for my birthday. I had a fabulous time, and I love you all. Screw you guys for getting me so drunk though. Nah, just playing, it was awesome!
So when's the last time we posted? Sorry about that...I guess we all got a little carried away with life.
So news....yesterday was Carissa's 22 birthday. Now she's an old woman with wrinkles and dying to look forward to. Morbid am I? We all went out last night and we were "rolling deep" as us ghetto white girls say. After too many shots and too much beer, we gave Carissa our signature lap dances....at Harry's...to Shot Through the Heart...by Bon Jovi. Like I said, we were drunk. So Carissa got to sit in a chair and get sexually molested by 7 girls all while Harry's is packed full of people. Oops.
More news.....Kati got engaged! She's getting married in July...we think...well, as of right now. Carissa and I(Meli) have the pleasure of hosting the bachelorette party. Anyone who knows us well understands the significance. The least I can say is that it's going to be crazy.
Another thing....Carissa, Dyann and I are going on a cruise on Spring Break. It's our last one so we have to make it good. I don't think that will be a problem when you are in the Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico.
All for now...
Stay tuned for the next episode of 3 of a Kind. I promise you won't regret it.

This was one hell of a weekend.

Luke and Kevin Cunningham came from California to visit.
Craig Piati came from Germany.
Paul Libio came from Arizona.
Mallary, Tyler, Tony, Smokey, Psimos and a few others came from Valpo.
DAMN ARE WE LOVED

So it all started with a keg at 340 to kick off the weekend. We had about 10 additional roommates too, so sometimes it required sleeping 3 deep. What's the saying? Oh yes..."Here's to being single, seeing double, and sleeping triple." I'm sure there was a lot of all of those this weekend...but I'm not one to kiss and tell. ; )
I think everyone lost something this weekend too. Paul lost just about everything, Psimos lost his keys and Luke lost his pants to name a few.
Most of us didn't go to bed Friday till at least 5. I personally stayed up until 6:30 then got up at 8:30 to start the breakfast club tradition: shots of tequila starting at 9am. Who knew tequila tasted so damn good in the morning?
After way too many bloody mary's and screwdrivers, we headed to the game for the 2nd quarter. Yeah, we never make it before 2nd quarter and never last past half time. Some may say this behavior is not of a true fan. To those, I say this: okay, I have nothing.
Well, who wants to lose an awesome buzz? And who wants to die of heat stroke? And, I have front row seats on my couch along with 20 of my friends who never made it out of our house.
After we left, we tapped another keg and wouldn't let anyone leave until it was gone. Most passed out but, damn it, that keg was gone by the end of the day. So cheers to beers and boobies!
Mission Accomplished.

Hello my treacherous friends. Thank you for joining me here today. So, it's been a while. Way too much shit has happened since we last checked in so I will just begin anew with this year. The house this year includes myself(Meli), Carissa, Taylor, Kati and Dyann so far. We have two open rooms if anyone is interested. Beware, there will be a strict screening process. Liz has moved to St. Louis with her parents. I guess this is good for her, but damn do they try to control her life. Mallary is back in Valpo causing trouble. Stacy, well, lets just not mention that name anymore. You just can't live with some people....and she's one of them. It's for the best and I'm definately over it.
So here we are, all moved back in and waiting for D Day to come. D Day meaning when we graduate. Which is, thank god, at least a year and a half for most of us. Anyone who knows us: Could you really imagine us in the real world? Seriously, it's scary.
About our summers ~ Carissa was in Illinois working as the beverage manager at a restaurant. Liz has been in St. Louis but came to visit when she could get away from the rents. Taylor stayed here and worked full time. Kati went to visit Chris in Washington and ended up staying for the whole summer! I lived with a kid from Valpo named Scott "Smokey" McDonald. We lived right in Broad Ripple, which is where I'm sure most of my money went. The rest of it went to when I visited Erik a couple times in California.
Damn do I miss this summer already. I met a lot of awesome and unique people in Indianapolis. (I miss you all and thanks for a kick ass summer! And-keep in touch damn it.) Smokey is the best kid to live with too.
Well that's it for today. Stay tuned for the next episode of 3 of a kind. It's worth the wait.

Another beautiful kinda chilly weekend.

We kicked the shit out of Illinois, well techinally "we" didnt kick anything, but the Purdue football team killed Illinois, the school, not the state.

Hilarious tailgating experiences, Liz tried to throw up all over me cause she saw the boars head, and she previously had ate the body of the animal. She claimed ti was coming back to haunt her. Then a fire detector went off when we were at Theta Chi (no idea why we were there) scaring the hell out of all of us. Hlaf of us made it to the game, I did of course cause my parents were down.

So John and I almost go arrested on friday thanks to watts and liz who put a street cone on our porch. I think my drunkiness talk to the police officer pissed him off cause he just left, good thing for us.

Meli partied herself sick, so sick she was still dying on sunday. She is ok now.

We all missed tay-tay, katie, and mallary this weekend who all went home. and we had to break up with allison this weekend because she was to sick to go out.

also, we are still jealous bc liz got the best lap dance i have ever seen on saturday, it was the most amazing thing ever (thank you to those guys, who knew how to work it!)

shhhhhhit im late for class!!
